Sorgho (Sorghum) is the fifth most grown cereal in the world. This plant is grown annually and has Indian origins. It was transported to America by emigrants.
The stems have eyes with yellow and reddish grains and are eaten like rice. All parts of sorghum can be used thus making it an ideal plant for sustainable development
The stems are full of a sweet, sugary juice, rich in fructose. The sugary sap is full of vitamin B and C, phosphorous, iron and potassium.
A sweet juice can be obtained by simply pressing harvested stems and sorghum syrup is characterised by its sugar alcohol content. Sugar alcohols produce a texturing and tensor effect in the world of cosmetics.
Clinical tests have been carried out on a 23 subjects panel and consisted in assessment of instant and long-term (one hour) effects inducted by COUP DE JEUNE.
